Keep it Like a Secret

Oh yeah! MDC#5 is in the house!

12:20 p.m., Apr. 09, 2003

I have been known to enjoy the comic "Get Your War On." David Rees, its author, also has a section on his site about the Mine Detection and Dog Center Team #5, who clear landmines in Afghanistan.

Like his other work, the section about the MDC #5 is both chilling and hilarious. You have to read it. It is incredible.

Not too much has happened since the exciting events of Saturday morning. I went to a surprise birthday party for Keith's friend Mitch. We moved my desk into the office and are slowly turning the sunroom into a dining room. We cleaned out a closet, much to the joy of our cats who now have room to sit on our locked storage box and paw at the bottom of our coats.

Oh and it snowed like a motherfuck. What's the deal, Mother Nature? Why do you have to play me (and most of the Midwest and Eastern Seabord) like that?

This is the sort of shit I expect in March, but April is sacred. (Except for that year it snowed on Prom).

Wolfgang Puck's Soup Mmm-mm.

Going weeks without a manicure. My nails never looked worse.

The 'Liberation' of Baghdad creeps me out in this weird way. I mean, hurray for the Iraqi people!
